Developmental Editing
What is developmental editing?
Developmental editing is an investment in your writing skills, your book, and your ability to get published.
We’ll focus on the big picture of your story, including story structure, plot, characters, voice, worldbuilding, setting, tone, and more. Everything that makes up your story is the focus of a developmental edit.
While a developmental edit does not usually include line edits, our team believes that your grammar, style, and linguistics directly impact your story, and will give notes on each accordingly. If your sentence structure or grammatical ability is lacking, you won’t walk away without answers.
Line Editing
Line editing is perhaps the most in depth of all editing. It includes line by line grammar, spelling, and formatting issues, as well as the eye of a developmental edit for structure, story, plot, character, and more. While expensive, if you feel your manuscript needs a lot of work, this may be for you.
Package Pricing:
2 cents per word

Sample Edits
All packages can come with a sample edit upon request. Length varies from first 1,000 words to first few chapters depending on the service requested.
We know many of us have been burned by editors using AI, lackluster beta reads, and half-assed services. Offering a sample edit helps to show you that we mean business, we will never use AI, and helps to see if we are a good match to work together.
PRICING: $20 for the sample edit that will be rolled into the total cost if you choose a full service.

Query Package
A query package review includes reviewing and editing your query letter, synopsis, and first chapter in order to make sure you are putting forward your best possible package for agents to consider.
Like all authors, our team has been on submission a lot. Having experienced the trenches ourselves, we will help guide you through creating the query package that is most likely to get you agented and published.
Who should consider a query package review?
Have you finished your MS and are about to go on submission, but want to make sure you don’t waste the opportunity with a lackluster package?
Have you been querying and received mixed feedback, no feedback, or negative feedback?
Have agents requested your full MS and then gone silent?
Have you been querying into an abyss with no responses?
All of these may mean that your query needs work! And we're here to help!
Package Pricing:
$150 -- query package review
$300 -- query package, with additional bonus of a list of agents we recommend you query based on their Manuscript Wishlist
